The 10/90 Rule...

This rule states that the first 10% of time spent on researching and fully understanding an idea i.e underlying laws, principles, rules, methods, and techniques of successful action will save you 90% of action time and effort to achieve the goal.

That's a great way of looking at things in life.

From starting school to finishing college it takes a person an average of 20 years. This is basically the time taken to fully prepare one for the job market, a job not readily available or known by the student. We also invest heavily in education hoping to reap the benefits later.

I would also encourage people on a business journey to take time and resources to do proper research on a particular business they are about to indulge in as this will not only save time in the future also money.

Business mistakes mostly mean loss of money hence it's critical to have minimal mistakes as much as possible especially at the initial stages of a business.

There are so many available resources for people to have information on any business nowadays from books, online, news articles and stories, and also similar current businesses.
